Conclusions

  • Development of a School Asthma Policy in partnership with a multidisciplinary, multi- sectoral group is feasible.
  • Piloting the policy with champion schools assisted with acceptance by a broader audience.
  • Use of pilot schools generated further policy use and overall asthma awareness.
