Observations:

  • Majority of not-for-profit staff have highest level training.
  • Not-for-profit daycares enroll more children between the ages of 2 and 5 yrs.
  • More not-for-profit managers worked > 10 yrs.

Observations:

  • Majority of not-for-profit are interested in participating in education program.
  • ~50% feels moderately confident in caring for a child with asthma.
  • For-profit appears slightly more confident
  • Not for-profit (81%) and for-profit (64%) centres strongly agree need for education.

Observations:

  • Most daycares are administering asthma/allergy medication.
  • Majority of children have health record.

Observations:

  • Majority would like information provided via printed material, videos, discussions, & workshops.
