OVERVIEW

To facilitate the establishment and maintenance of high quality assessment and care for all Albertans with asthma, thereby enabling those with asthma to lead fully productive lives.

In 1993, the Clinical Unit identified two main objectives:

• To ensure that research developments from here and worldwide are made available in a timely fashion to Albertans with asthma.
• To promulgate and help to coordinate up-to-date and effective management strategies to care-givers throughout the province.
